Vitamin B12 is necessary for normal nerve activity, brain function, and correct digestion

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) Lozenges - An essential nutrient for your body, brain and overall health. Promotes correct digestion, vitality and high-energy levels

Benefits of Vitamin B12

  • Supports healthy brain function
  • Helps maintain energy levels
  • Aids correct digestion
  • Enhances mood and promotes correct nervous system function
  • Promotes healthy homocysteine levels, which is crucial to heart health

The cherry flavoured Vitamin B12 lozenges (cobalamin) perform a myriad of roles in the body.

Vitamin B12 is needed for normal nerve activity and brain function. Low levels of vitamin B12 may leave you feeling dull, tired, and depressed. Vitamin B12 is also required for correct digestion, and together with vitamin B6 and folic acid (vitamin B9), helps keep homocysteine under control - high levels of homocysteine may be a risk factor for heart disease and memory loss.

Vitamin B12 is present in almost all animal foods, including dairy products and eggs, therefore, vegetarians and vegans should take vitamin B12 supplements, as they will be more susceptible to dietary deficiencies.

Vitamin B12 deficiencies tend to occur most often in elderly people. As we age, stomach acid levels begin to decline - approximately 10%-30% of individuals over 50 have low stomach acid secretion. Low stomach acid secretion will result in decreased bioavailability (absorption) of vitamin B12 from food.

To help overcome this food-linked malassimilation, supplements containing vitamin B12 or foods fortified with vitamin B12 is recommended to help meet daily requirements.

Vitamin B12 facilitates the metabolism of folic acid (400 mcg is already found in this vitamin B12 supplement), another very important B vitamin - both are essential for DNA synthesis.

Vitamin B12 interacts with vitamin B6 to regenerate the amino acid, methionine, which sequentially helps supports the maintenance of already healthy homocysteine levels within normal ranges, which is crucial to heart health.

All B vitamins are water soluble and leave the body quickly, therefore should be taken twice a day.

I found dissolving the product under my tongue annoying..It does however taste nice, but I don't think I would purchase as I prefer to take this necessary supplement in a multiple vitamin..I would be concerned that taking it in addition could result in me

Really pleased with this product, although it is early days I can say I have already noticed a difference in my energy levels. Being a vegetarian I am aware that I am prone to a lack of B12 in my diet however this product has definitely made a difference

I don't know why but while I was taking these B12 tabs my hot flushes were much much worse. I stopped taking them and they went back to the usual frequency and heat, I will give them another go and see if it happens again.
